Foolishness is unreasonableness wrapped in plain stupidity. Proverbs 14:24 says “the folly of fools is foolishness”. In other words, foolish ways of foolish people lead to what is unwise, idiotic, irrational, and down, right stupid.
If you’re like me, you’ve seen your share of foolishness… Sometimes the foolishness comes from fools who can’t control their speech. They talk like that know if all, they talk all the time, and you can’t tell them anything because they already know everything.
Then there’s the fool who can’t control their temper. When he or she gets angry with you, they carry on a war to the bitter end and they do a great deal of damage… to themselves.
Of course we don’t want to leave out the fool who always has to have things their way. This type of foolish behavior will allow a freight train to run off the tracks rather than pull the emergency break.
And my all time favorite is the fool who creates problems because they don’t learn from their mistakes. These fools are really dangerous because they create the same old mess and they go back to their same old ways like a dog returning to eat its vomit.
Proverbs 10:18 tells us that lies and slander are what fools specialize in. And when it’s all said and done, Proverbs 19:3 tells us that a man’s foolishness will ruin his life. So… tell me… what happened when you acted a fool…

We’ve all heard the saying, the “truth will set you free”. But what does that really mean in the context of who you are as a leader. We’ll I’ll offer you this. As a leader, your responsibility is to govern yourself according to the Word of God which is the “truth”. Knowing and living by the truth frees you from unjust persecution, it frees you from shadows of impropriety, and it frees you from living in fear of the truth.
